He was a longtime student of noted Jazz Composer/Theorist Dennis Sandole and is the author of two other pedagogical texts: "The Guitar Arpeggio Compendium", and "Twelve-Tone Octave Displacement Studies for The Guitar and All Treble Clef Instruments"

Crack the Code

Scott's explanation and presentation of these exotic scales and modes will open up options in any genre and application. I primarily play blues and rock and these scales substantially broaden one's palet and color options when used properly. Scott lays out in a very practical easy to grasp way how to understand and apply these scales and immediately integrate into your improv/soloing. You'll be playing like Beck, Hendrix and Scofield in no time! And if you play Jazz, you'll be right there with Stern, Martino and Hall sooner or later!! Highly recommend!! :)Dan

Really disappointing...

Really disappointed...The text doesn't explain anything. It is just a series of confusing "exercises" or etudes. I say confusing because the author never bothers to explain why the scales choices he makes work over a particular chord/context. There are typos as well, which makes it even more confusing...
